This year's West Australian Earthdance Festival will be held at 'Marshall Rock Nature Reserve' near the wheatbelt town of Bencubbin, around 3 hrs drive North East of Perth. It promises to be a wonderful weekend of camping out with your mates and enjoying two stages wth some of Australia's finest progressive and electro dj's, producers and acoustic live acts as well as performers, market stalls and visual arts. Following the ethos of 'Think Global & Act Local', 50% of the ticket sale profits from this years event will go towards local tree planting and environmental rejuvenation work done by the 'Lake McDermott Catchment Group' in the Shire of Mt Marshall where the event is taking place. The focal point of the Earthdance global gathering, 'The Prayer for Peace', will take place at 7 o'clock our time on the Sunday morning, where we will join with hundreds of thousands of people around the globe to focus our intention for change. We encourage everyone to be present for this powerful unifying moment.

The Prayer For Peace

Earthdance this year will be a grass roots, environmental and back to basics, electronic and acoustic dance music weekend for people of all ages, persuasions and backgrounds. We hope to see you there and welcome you to be a part of the tribe this year to give peace a dance !

Earthdance 2008 Initiative: HONORING THE EARTH with the GLOBAL MA
This year, the Earthdance “Prayer for Peace” will be followed by a unified Global MA, as people across the world synchronize their voices with the intention of healing the Earth. To increase cohesiveness and provide a single, specific point of focus for the global community, the “Prayer for Peace” will be immediately followed by a recording of a fundamental tone (the specific human frequency of 125hz), which will serve as a foundation for people to tune into.

Honoring the Earth
The Earth is our Home, our Mother. We are born from it’s soil and return to it when we die. During this time of accelerated global change and environmental devastation, we are being called to honor our Earth and find new ways to live sustainably on this planet.

The Global MA
At 4:30pm PST (7:30am our time Sunday morning) on Saturday September 13th, 2008 people across the world will unite their voices to create a synchronized Global MA (Pronounced "MAAAAH") to honor our Mother Earth and all Mothers on our planet. This moment will be the highlight of Earthdance 2008, and will follow the “Prayer for Peace” which unifies people in over 350 cities, in 65 counties.
